Pickup & Return
Do you pick up boats and RVs?
Yes. Boats and RVs are picked up across Prince Edward County from homes, cottages, marinas, campsites, and seasonal properties.
So I really don’t have to do anything?
After booking, PEC handles pickup, intake, storage, prep, and spring-ready return. You simply confirm scheduling and we take care of the rest.
Can you pick up from cottages or marinas?
Yes — homes, cottages, marinas, campsites, and seasonal properties are supported where accessible.
What if my boat or RV is not at the pickup address provided?
The pickup address must be the actual location of the unit. If PEC arrives and the boat or RV is at a different address than provided, a $200 relocation / failed pickup fee may apply to cover travel time, scheduling disruption, and re-routing.
Do you bring it back in spring?
Yes. PEC coordinates spring-ready return for supported programs.
Storage Options
Indoor vs outdoor storage?
Indoor is limited premium protection. Outdoor is available for most seasonal units.
Where is my unit stored?
Indoor storage is primarily handled through Carrying Place, while outdoor storage is handled through Demorestville. Some drop-off categories receive location details after booking.
Are indoor spots guaranteed?
No. Indoor spaces are limited and fill quickly each season. Once indoor capacity is full, outdoor storage remains available.
Winterization & Prep
Is winterization included?
Winterization is included for boats and indoor RV programs ONLY. Outdoor RV storage requires the customer to complete required winter preparation before storage.
What is included in winterization?
Depending on unit type, winterization may include water flush, fuel stabilizer, lower unit oil, battery disconnect, shrink wrap (outdoor storage), and seasonal prep steps.
What if my RV septic isn’t empty?
A $500 septic surcharge may apply if the septic system is not emptied before intake.
Are oil changes available?
Yes, depending on package and unit type.
Pricing & Payment
How is pricing calculated?
Pricing depends on size, storage type, services, and pickup needs.
What if I have more than 2 boats to store?
If you have more than 2 boats to store, please contact PEC directly. We can discuss pickup logistics, scheduling, space planning, and potential multi-unit arrangements.
Is it one seasonal payment or monthly billing?
PEC uses one seasonal payment that covers the storage season. No monthly billing.
What payment methods do you accept?
Major credit and debit cards are accepted securely through Stripe.
Does HST apply?
Yes. Ontario HST applies and is shown during checkout.
Are there hidden fees?
No hidden surprises — get your exact price before booking.
Scheduling
Can I reschedule pickup?
Yes, scheduling can be adjusted based on availability.
What if access is blocked?
Unsafe or inaccessible pickups, blocked trailers, locked gates, dead batteries, or incorrect pickup locations may require rescheduling and additional fees.
Spring Return
How does spring return work?
PEC coordinates return scheduling so your boat or RV is back when the season begins again.
When do spring returns begin?
Spring returns typically begin around May, with scheduling communication sent beforehand.
Can I get my unit back early?
Contact PEC directly and we’ll do our best to accommodate early return requests.
Insurance & Documentation
How is my unit documented?
Every unit is photo-documented at intake and return, with condition notes recorded for transparency.
Do I need insurance?
Customers are required to maintain active insurance coverage while their unit is stored.
Do I sign an agreement?
Yes. A storage agreement is signed during pickup or drop-off intake.
Vehicles & Drop-Off
Do you store cars, trucks, SUVs and ATVs?
Yes. These are generally handled through drop-off programs.
