3. Pickup Scheduling Window
Pickup scheduling opens August 1 for the fall intake season.
PEC Boat & RV Storage coordinates pickup timing based on customer location, package type, route planning, weather, staff availability, road access, unit type, and seasonal capacity.
Fall intake generally runs through late October. Exact dates may depend on weather, demand, road conditions, water access, customer readiness, and operational capacity.
Customers are responsible for responding to scheduling requests and making sure their unit is ready, accessible, movable, and safe at the confirmed pickup or drop-off time.
4. Pickup Service
Pickup service is available where included in the selected package or where separately arranged with PEC Boat & RV Storage.
For pickup service, the customer must ensure the unit is ready for pickup at the confirmed time. This may include making sure keys are available, the unit is accessible, the trailer is safe to tow, tires are inflated, batteries are functional where required, and the unit is not blocked in.
Pickup availability is subject to route planning, weather, staff availability, customer readiness, road access, driveway access, trailer condition, hitch compatibility, and safety.
PEC Boat & RV Storage may refuse or reschedule pickup if the unit cannot be safely accessed, moved, connected, started, loaded, transported, or handled.
5. Drop-Off Intake
For drop-off storage, the customer is responsible for bringing the unit to the assigned PEC location at the confirmed appointment time.
Drop-off location details may depend on the selected storage type, unit type, package, availability, and operational requirements.
Customers should not arrive without a confirmed appointment or assigned drop-off instructions.
If a customer arrives outside the confirmed appointment time, PEC Boat & RV Storage may need to reschedule intake or provide updated drop-off instructions.
6. Photo-Documented Intake
PEC Boat & RV Storage may complete a photo-documented intake when a unit is picked up, dropped off, checked in, or processed for storage.
Intake may include photos, condition notes, customer details, unit details, trailer details, service requirements, storage package verification, and staff observations.
Photo-documented intake is intended to record visible condition at the time of intake. It does not guarantee identification of every scratch, mark, defect, mechanical issue, hidden issue, water intrusion issue, electrical issue, trailer issue, or pre-existing condition.
Customers should notify PEC Boat & RV Storage of any known damage, mechanical issue, battery issue, trailer issue, water issue, or special handling requirement before pickup, drop-off, or intake.
7. Storage Locations
PEC Boat & RV Storage operates seasonal storage services in Prince Edward County, including Carrying Place and Demorestville.
Storage location assignment depends on the selected package, storage type, unit type, unit size, availability, service requirements, and operational needs.
Indoor storage and outdoor storage may be handled at different PEC locations.
For security and operational reasons, exact location instructions may be provided directly to the customer after reservation, scheduling, or appointment confirmation.
8. Customer Access During Storage
For security, insurance, staffing, and operational reasons, customer access to stored units may be limited or restricted.
Customers may not access storage areas or stored units without prior approval and a confirmed appointment.
Unscheduled access, walk-ins, after-hours access, or access without staff confirmation may not be available.
If a customer needs to access a stored unit during the storage season, they should contact PEC Boat & RV Storage in advance to request an appointment.
9. Customer Preparation Requirements
Before pickup or drop-off, customers are responsible for preparing their unit for safe handling, towing, intake, service, and storage.
This may include:
- Making sure the unit is accessible and not blocked in
- Providing keys, lock codes, access instructions, or required documents where needed
- Confirming the trailer is safe to tow
- Checking tire condition and tire pressure
- Making sure the battery is charged where required
- Removing valuables, personal belongings, food, perishables, cash, electronics, and documents
- Disclosing known mechanical, steering, brake, tire, hitch, trailer, battery, or water issues
- Making sure the unit information submitted during checkout is accurate

10. Failed Pickup or Inaccessible Unit
If PEC Boat & RV Storage arrives for a scheduled pickup and the unit is not accessible, not ready, blocked in, has a dead battery, has unsafe tires, cannot be moved, cannot be connected safely, or the customer is unavailable when required, the pickup may be marked as failed.
A failed pickup may require rescheduling and may result in additional fees depending on travel time, staff time, scheduling impact, weather, distance, and the circumstances of the failed appointment.
PEC Boat & RV Storage is not responsible for delays or failed pickup situations caused by customer unavailability, inaccurate information, unsafe equipment, blocked access, road conditions, weather, or other circumstances outside reasonable control.

Depending on the selected package, PEC Boat & RV Storage may provide storage-related service work such as winterization, oil and filter service, shrink wrap, battery disconnect, trailer bearing grease check where applicable, tire pressure check, spring rinse, or other preparation services.
Service availability depends on unit type, package selected, customer-provided information, access, weather, materials, parts, staff capacity, and safety.
PEC Boat & RV Storage may decline, pause, or adjust service work if a unit is unsafe, inaccessible, incorrectly represented, mechanically unsuitable, missing required access, or requires work beyond the selected package.
PEC Boat & RV Storage is not responsible for pre-existing mechanical issues, hidden damage, improper prior maintenance, freeze damage, fuel issues, battery failure, trailer problems, water intrusion, or issues unrelated to the specific service purchased or included.
12. Spring Return or Delivery

Customers are responsible for being available and providing accurate return location details, access instructions, and any required site information before delivery or return.
13. Weather, Road Conditions, and Operational Delays
Pickup, drop-off, intake, service, storage preparation, and spring return may be affected by weather, road conditions, storms, snow, rain, mud, wind, unsafe towing conditions, staff availability, equipment issues, or other operational factors.
PEC Boat & RV Storage may reschedule or adjust service timing when conditions are unsafe, impractical, or outside reasonable control.
